Ju Jitsu, or Jujutsu (柔術), is a Japanese art that evolved amongst the Samurai of feudal Japan as a method for dispatching an armed or armoured opponent where the use of weapons was impractical.
These techniques were developed around the principle of using an attacker’s energy against them, rather than directly opposing it, and came to be known as jujutsu.
